Pakistan Sends Condolences to Hong Kong
Islamabad, 27 November (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, has issued a message of condolence for those who lost their lives in a fire at a residential complex in the Tai Po area of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Dar stated that he learned with deep sorrow about the devastating fire in Tai Po, which caused loss of life, left many missing, and resulted in numerous injuries.
On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, he extended heartfelt condolences to the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and especially to the families of the deceased.
He added: “We share the grief of those who have lost their loved ones, and we pray for the swift and full recovery of the injured. Pakistan stands with the people of Hong Kong and China during this difficult time. I have full confidence that under the guidance of President Xi and the capable leadership of China, Hong Kong will overcome this challenge.”
