Tajani held phone call with EU Trade Commissioner Sefcovic
Rome, February 10 (Hibya) – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani had a phone conversation with European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic, where they discussed trade relations with Mercosur, India, and the United States (US) and the strategic minerals agreement.
Italian Foreign Minister Tajani reported that he had a long and friendly phone call with EU Trade Commissioner Sefcovic. During the conversation, they evaluated existing trade agreements, including the imminent entry into force of the Mercosur agreement and trade relations with India.
Tajani also noted their support for trade relations with the US and the ongoing negotiation process between the EU and the US regarding critical minerals. He emphasized that reducing strategic dependencies is a political priority for strengthening the competitiveness of the European market and export companies.
