Sybiha: Ukraine and Japan are united by shared values and common challenges
Tokyo, July 2 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) President Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae and Japanese foreign policy experts.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he met with Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) President Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae and Japanese foreign policy experts, noting that the security dynamics in Europe and the Indo-Pacific are interconnected, particularly in the context of Russia's cooperation with North Korea.
Highlighting the shared vision between the two countries, Sybiha said: "We had a valuable meeting with JIIA President Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae and a distinguished group of Japanese foreign and security policy experts. Although geographically distant, Ukraine and Japan are united by shared values and common challenges."
Assessing the impact of the growing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia on global security, Sybiha stated: "Security developments in Europe and the Indo-Pacific are deeply interconnected, especially in light of Russia's increasing cooperation with North Korea."
Sybiha concluded by saying: "I briefed them on the outcomes of my meetings in Tokyo and shared insights from the battlefield as well as our diplomatic efforts to achieve peace."
