Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea and reaffirmed Pakistan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia.

In a post on social media, Sharif said he and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the latest security developments in the region.

Sharif described the Houthi militia attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea as unacceptable, saying they violate international law, threaten freedom of navigation, and undermine regional peace and security.

Reiterating Pakistan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Sharif said he conveyed to the Crown Prince, on behalf of Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the people of Pakistan, their support for the Saudi leadership and people during this critical period.

The two leaders also stressed the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of international maritime trade through the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz.

Sharif and Mohammed bin Salman agreed to continue close cooperation to preserve regional peace, security, and stability.
