Israeli Foreign Minister Saar met in Jerusalem with Serbia’s Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic.

Commenting on the meeting, Saar drew attention to Serbia’s support for Israel during the war, saying: “I thanked him for Serbia’s unwavering support throughout the war and for the efforts to secure the release of Israeli-Serbian hostage Alon Ohel.”

Saar noted that the antisemitic terrorist attack that took place in Sydney was also discussed, stating: “We appreciate Serbia’s serious and determined stance in the fight against antisemitism.”

Saar concluded his statement by saying: “We are grateful for Serbia’s friendship.”
