Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a telephone conversation with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.

According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed steps to further strengthen those ties.

The two ministers also exchanged views on regional developments, ongoing diplomatic initiatives, and joint coordination aimed at reducing tensions and supporting security and stability in the region.

During the conversation, Al Thani stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized the implementation of the understandings reached between the United States and Iran, ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and preserving regional stability.

Al Thani reaffirmed Qatar's support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that would bring lasting peace to the region.
