Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic stated that discussions at the European Council had addressed the EU's budget for the upcoming period and the enlargement process.

Plenkovic said Croatia advocated preserving cohesion and agricultural policies under the European Union's new seven-year budget. He noted that, according to the current proposal, Croatia is expected to receive approximately 7 billion euros in funding.

Plenkovic also addressed Montenegro's progress in accession negotiations with the European Union, stating that the process should be assessed alongside the progress achieved in talks with Croatia on resolving outstanding issues.
