According to a statement by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova met at the ministry building with Jim Diodati, Mayor of Niagara Falls, Canada, who is visiting Bulgaria to strengthen cultural diplomacy.

The visit took place on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Canada.

Minister Petrova and Mayor Diodati emphasized their commitment to further developing productive cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, investment, science, technology, innovation, culture, tourism, and people-to-people relations.
