Orban: I ask Zelensky to immediately restart the Friendship oil pipeline
Budapest, December 27 (Hibya) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that Hungary and Slovakia have agreed to set up a joint investigative committee to examine the issues with the "Friendship" (Druzhba) oil pipeline.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced a new step in addressing the oil supply crisis, which directly concerns the security of energy supplies in the region.
Following his meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Orban stated that the two countries would act together to clarify the status of the pipeline.
Calling for cooperation with the Ukrainian administration, Orban said, "I have agreed to establish a Hungarian-Slovak investigative committee to clarify the situation of the Friendship oil pipeline. I ask President Zelensky to allow Hungarian and Slovak inspectors access and to immediately restart the Friendship oil pipeline!"
