Orban: Hungarian farmers will not pay the price of the EU budget
Budapest, December 15 (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban reacted to the cuts envisaged for agriculture and rural development in the European Union’s (EU) seven-year budget proposal, stressing that farmers will not pay the price of Europe’s war plans.
Prime Minister Orban opposed the planned cuts to agriculture, rural development and cohesion funds in the EU’s seven-year budget proposal. Stating that Brussels is trying to cut farmers’ incomes, Orban said, “Farmers are ready to push back.”
The prime minister added that Hungarian farmers will not pay for Europe’s war plans and will not allow these cuts.
