Mucunski: I called on Russia to declare a ceasefire
Skopje, May 9 (Hibya) – North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister, Timco Mucunski, took part in the Core Group Ministers’ Meeting on the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, at the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
Minister Mucunski also participated in the informal EU Foreign Affairs Council as the only minister from the Western Balkans.
Mucunski said, “Together with my colleagues, we paid tribute to Ukrainian heroes at the Lychakiv Cemetery. We reaffirmed our strong support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and reiterated the initiative for accountability for acts of aggression. Restating our principled stance, I called on Russia to immediately declare a ceasefire and to work toward a just and lasting peace.”
