Foreign Minister Tajani calls on Israel
Rome, May 9 (Hibya) – Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reiterated his call to Israel to allow humanitarian aid and food into Gaza during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mustafa.
In his statement, Tajani said, “Italy calls on Israel to allow the delivery of food and humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza. Restarting the 'Food for Gaza' program is of great importance.”
He announced that the Italian Council of Ministers today approved an additional €2.5 million in humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that Italy’s commitments are not limited to financial assistance alone.
Tajani also noted that humanitarian efforts continue through scholarship programs for Palestinian students and healthcare services provided in Italy.
