Merz met with Netanyahu
Berlin, November 2 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the two agreed on the need to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian aid to the local population, and for the Palestinian Islamic Movement Hamas to hand over the remains of the remaining hostages.
Chancellor Merz stated that during today’s meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, they agreed that the ceasefire in Gaza should continue. Merz said, “The people there need safe humanitarian assistance, and Hamas must finally hand over the remains of the remaining hostages.”
The meeting also addressed steps for implementing the ceasefire and ensuring the security of humanitarian corridors.
