French President Emmanuel Macron, together with his wife Brigitte Macron and the accompanying delegation, carried out his fourth official state visit to the People’s Republic of China. Macron stated that during the three days he will spend in Beijing and Chengdu, he will hold discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping on peace and the economic rebalancing the world urgently needs.

Macron emphasized that France is preparing to assume the G7 presidency in 2026, expressing his desire to work more decisively with China and all international partners to address major global challenges.

Macron added: “I believe that together we can make a difference.”
