President Macron expressed that, together with European and G7 partners, they welcome the United States’ efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.

He said that this situation shows only one thing – that everyone wants peace except Russia, and added:

“Meanwhile, Russia continues to stubbornly bomb Ukraine. The 28-point draft must be strengthened: No border can be changed by force, and Ukraine must never be left defenseless. Any decision involving the European Union or NATO must be approved by their relevant members.”

Macron added that they will continue their close coordination with Kyiv and Washington, saying, “Our joint support for Ukraine is vital. The security and freedom of all Europe is at stake.”
