Losses deepen across US stock indices
Istanbul, October 26 (Hibya) - Regional markets remain weak, while losses across US stock indices continue to deepen.
Selling pressure dominates major indices across the Americas, with the S&P 500 trading at 7,623.68 points, down 0.52 percent. The Dow Jones index fell 1.23 percent to 52,215.16 points, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 0.21 percent, declining to 25,955.34 points. A 2.21 percent increase in the S&P 500 VIX index, a gauge of market volatility, indicates that investors' concerns about risk remain elevated. Meanwhile, in futures markets, the US 30 and US 500 contracts are showing signs of a modest buying-driven recovery.
