Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said relief efforts were continuing following the earthquake in Panama and that the EU remained committed to supporting those affected by the disaster.

Recalling that three weeks had passed since the earthquake, Lahbib said, “The EU is still by your side.” She announced that 200,000 euros in support had been provided to the Panamanian Red Cross through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' Disaster Response Emergency Fund (IFRC-DREF).

Lahbib also stated that water and hygiene supplies from EU stockpiles in Panama had been delivered to those in need, while shelter materials and other relief items had been sent to the region through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

The EU's support aims to meet the basic needs of communities affected by the earthquake and assist recovery efforts.
