Kallas: Recent developments in the Middle East are dangerous
Brussels, February 28 (Hibya) - The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, announced that she met with Israeli Foreign Minister Saar and other ministers from the region.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, described the recent developments in the Middle East as dangerous. Kallas stated that the Iranian regime has killed thousands of people and added: "Its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, along with its support for terrorist groups, pose a serious threat to global security."
Kallas also mentioned that she met with Israeli Foreign Minister Saar and other ministers from the region and highlighted that the EU is working closely with its Arab partners to seek diplomatic solutions. She emphasized that protecting civilians and adhering to international humanitarian law are priorities, adding:
"Our consular network is operating at full capacity to facilitate the departure of EU citizens. Non-essential EU staff are being withdrawn from the region."
