Kallas: Europe’s security is in its most uncertain period in decades
Brussels, February 20 (Hibya) - European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that Europe is going through its most uncertain period in decades in terms of security.
European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas assessed Europe’s military strength and defense strategies at the E5 Defense Ministers meeting held in Krakow, Poland.
Kallas said, “Europe’s security is in its most uncertain period in decades. If we want to keep our countries safe, we must strengthen Europe’s military power.”
Referring to the increase in defense spending and the importance of joint projects, Kallas stated, “We are already investing record amounts in defense. The decision of five countries today to develop low-cost air defense systems to protect European skies is an example of taking greater responsibility for our own defense.”
