Framework agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel
Beirut, June 27 (Hibya) – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that the Lebanon-Israel framework agreement signed in Washington is the first step toward fully restoring Lebanon's sovereignty.
According to CCTV, in a statement issued by the Lebanese Presidency, President Joseph Aoun emphasized that the agreement marks the beginning of a process that will enable displaced Lebanese citizens to return to their lands.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that Israel and Lebanon had reached a framework agreement under U.S. mediation aimed at achieving "lasting peace and security."
Rubio said the agreement provides a structured framework outlining the process for restoring Lebanon's sovereignty, disarming Hezbollah, and dismantling its infrastructure.
