During the trading session in global foreign exchange markets, investors continued to price in expectations regarding central banks' monetary policies, while major currencies moved in different directions.

The euro/dollar (EUR/USD) pair rose 0.32 percent to 1.1403. The pound/dollar (GBP/USD) pair also gained 0.24 percent, climbing to 1.3351.

The Australian dollar/US dollar (AUD/USD) pair, one of the commodity currencies, traded at 0.6995 after rising 0.23 percent.

In Asian trading, the US dollar/Japanese yen (USD/JPY) pair fell 0.17 percent to 163.56. The decline indicated that the Japanese yen strengthened against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the US dollar/Canadian dollar (USD/CAD) pair also slipped 0.07 percent to 1.4082. This movement indicated that the Canadian dollar strengthened modestly against the US dollar.

Investors continue to closely monitor expectations regarding the interest rate policies of major central banks, particularly the US Federal Reserve (Fed), as well as economic data and changes in global risk appetite.

As a result of these developments, major currencies continue to exhibit mixed performance in the foreign exchange markets.
