Washington, July 14 (Hibya) – The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it carried out new airstrikes against military targets in Iran to reduce Tehran's capability to attack commercial shipping.
CENTCOM announced that it had conducted a new operation targeting military sites in Iran.
According to the statement, the operation lasted approximately five hours and concluded at 10:15 p.m. Eastern Time on July 13, striking military targets in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas.
The statement said that coastal defense systems, missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sites, and naval assets were targeted with precision-guided munitions in an effort to further weaken Iran's capability to attack commercial shipping.
