Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baqaei made a statement regarding the humanitarian and global impacts of military operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Baqaei emphasized that the attacks are not only a military intervention but also a “massacre” against the civilian population.

Speaking about the developments, Baqaei said: “This brutal, unprovoked and completely unjustified attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran goes far beyond the battlefield. It reverberates across global markets, raises energy prices, destabilizes currencies and erodes the purchasing power of ordinary people around the world.”

Stating that the attacks directly target innocent civilians, Baqaei concluded: “For us Iranians, the cost is immeasurably higher: the attackers deliberately target civilian areas and any place they believe will cause the greatest suffering and loss of life, brutally massacring our people.”
