UNRWA: Rain is making conditions even more desperate
New York, 15 November (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement on the situation in Gaza.
UNRWA stated that the winter rains in Gaza are making the already dire conditions even more desperate.
The statement noted that families are trying to seek shelter wherever they can, including in makeshift tents. It continued:
“Shelter materials are urgently needed. UNRWA has these materials ready to help people get through the winter. Let them in.”
