UN: Sexual violence in Sudan has become a weapon of war
New York, December 4 (Hibya) – The United Nations announced that sexual violence against women and girls in Sudan is being used systematically as a weapon of war.
The UN statement said, “Sexual violence in Sudan is being used as a weapon of war against women and girls.”
The UN noted that UN Women “is working tirelessly to provide protection, psychological support, and basic medical care to survivors.”
The statement also added, “This horrific human rights violation must end.”
