Luxon: Russia’s barbarity must end
Wellington, 25 November (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announced that he participated in an international leaders’ meeting focused on ending Russia’s illegal war against Ukraine.
Prime Minister Luxon stated: “On a morning when Russia once again shows its barbarity toward Ukraine, I joined President Zelensky and other world leaders in a meeting focused on ending Moscow’s illegal war.”
Luxon emphasized that New Zealand remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine, noting that progress has been made toward achieving a just and lasting peace, although much work remains.
He urged Russia to “come to the table and accept a negotiated solution that respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and the United Nations Charter.”
