Leyen: We support the proposal for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire
Brussels, May 10 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that they support the proposal for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
President Leyen said that the Coalition of the Willing has convened.
She noted their support for the full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire proposal, stating:
"To open the way for meaningful peace negotiations, it must be implemented without preconditions. The ball is now in Russia's court. If the ceasefire is violated, we are ready to maintain strong pressure and apply tougher sanctions on Russia. Our goal is clear: a just and lasting peace for Ukraine, which is vital for the security and stability of our continent."
