Tsahkna: Estonia and Finland, as brother nations, support Ukraine
Tallinn, November 12 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna welcomed Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to Estonia. Both countries emphasized their support for Ukraine and their commitment to strengthening collective defense.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna met with Finnish Foreign Minister Valtonen in Estonia. Tsahkna stated that Estonia and Finland are not just neighbors but brotherly nations bound by history, trust, and a shared determination to defend freedom.
Minister Tsahkna said:
“We stand with Ukraine. The European Union must move forward with the 20th sanctions package and ensure that Russia’s frozen assets are used for Ukraine’s reconstruction. At the same time, we are focused on strengthening collective defense. The Eastern Sentry initiative is crucial for bolstering air defense and ensuring the security of NATO’s eastern flank. Together, we will continue to work for a stronger, safer, and more united Europe.”
