Ottawa, November 12 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, at the G7 meeting in Canada, emphasized the West’s determination to increase support for Ukraine’s independence and for peace in the Middle East. Tajani also called for international coordination to combat illegal migration.
At the G7 meeting in Canada, Deputy Prime Minister Tajani outlined Western countries’ goals to strengthen solidarity and enhance support for peace efforts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
“The West remains determined to support Ukraine’s independence and to work toward peace in the Middle East,” Tajani said. He also noted that Italy aims to create a strategic partnership to support Italian companies, adding: “We support Italian companies through a strategic alliance that guarantees free movement and the supply of raw materials.”
On the sidelines of the G7, Tajani held a coordination meeting with UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and French Minister for Digital Transformation Jean-Noël Barrot on combating illegal migration. “We are working together to strengthen return strategies and to involve source and transit countries more actively in the process,” the minister stated.
