Rome, June 9 (Hibya) - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani assessed the crises in Europe and the Middle East during a meeting with his Polish counterpart Radosław Sikorski.

Tajani said, “Italy and Poland want to work together on the major crises in Europe and the Middle East.”
Referring to developments in Iran and Lebanon, Tajani stated, “The ongoing negotiations must continue without interruption and without new military steps.” He also added, “This process is of vital importance for lasting peace in Europe and the region.”
Speaking about the war in Ukraine, Tajani said, “Russia needs to move toward a genuine negotiation process.” It was reported that the issue will be discussed at the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting to be held in Luxembourg on June 15.
