Sybiha: The start of negotiations with the EU will mark a new chapter on our shared European path
Kyiv, November 1 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated, on the 32nd anniversary of the Maastricht Treaty’s entry into force, that the European Union’s success reflects the strength of its founding vision.
Sybiha emphasized that the Ukrainian people have never abandoned their goal of full membership, saying, “The Ukrainian people have demonstrated their determination for full membership through their courage and sacrifice for our shared values and a peaceful Europe.”
He noted that despite Russia’s large-scale attacks, Ukraine continues to implement comprehensive reforms, expressing confidence that his country will make significant contributions to the EU’s common security and strategic potential through its competitive advantages.
“As the EU continues to grow and develop, the start of accession negotiations with Ukraine will open a new chapter on our shared European path and reinforce our determination toward a strong, united, and secure Europe,” Sybiha said.
