Qatar and Palestine discuss humanitarian aid and cooperation for Gaza
Doha, November 12 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Maryam Al Misnad, discussed the humanitarian situation and aid efforts in Gaza with Palestinian officials.
Qatar’s Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, held a virtual meeting on Wednesday with members of the Palestinian government’s operations room. The meeting was chaired by the Palestinian Minister of Social Development and Acting Minister of Relief Affairs, Dr. Samah Hamad.
The discussions reviewed bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Palestine and addressed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The meeting focused on alleviating the humanitarian suffering of civilians in Gaza, strengthening partnerships in development and knowledge exchange, and coordinating the entry and distribution of aid supplies, particularly before winter.
The meeting was part of Qatar’s efforts to ensure the effective and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. It was attended by representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and around 48 humanitarian organizations and officials.
