Palestine condemns Fiji’s decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem
Ramallah, September 18 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Fiji’s decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem.
The Ministry protested the Republic of Fiji’s move to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
The statement said the step is considered an attack on the Palestinian people, a clear violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions, and a direct threat to implementing the two-state solution.
“The Ministry affirms that all Israeli measures in Jerusalem are null and void under international law. It calls on Fiji to reconsider and revoke its decision and to adhere to international law and the international will for peace.”
