Government efficiency reviewed in Pakistan
Islamabad, November 1 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level inter-ministerial committee meeting to assess the overall efficiency of the government, particularly the functioning of diplomatic missions abroad.
During the presentation of the report prepared by the committee, Dar emphasized the importance of strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic influence, aligning the activities of foreign missions with national strategic objectives, and enhancing institutional performance through inter-ministerial coordination and synergy.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Petroleum, the Minister of State for Railways, the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee, the Prime Minister’s Special Adviser Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, as well as secretaries of the Cabinet, Interior, Commerce, Personnel, Human Resources, and Economic Affairs ministries, along with representatives from the Finance and Information ministries.
