Ghebreyesus meets with Shara
Belem, November 12 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that he had a productive meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Shara during the World Climate Change Conference (COP30).
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus met last week with President Shara during COP30. During the meeting, both sides reached a mutual understanding regarding the urgent need to support health services for the Syrian people.
Tedros congratulated President al-Sharaa for his focus on strengthening Syria’s health systems and reaffirmed WHO’s full commitment to cooperation under the “HealthForAll” goal.
