Munich, December 2 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys met with the academic community at the Bundeswehr University in Munich, discussing science diplomacy, the role of universities in total defence, and resilience against hybrid threats.

Budrys held meaningful discussions on science diplomacy, the role of universities in total defence, building resilience, and preparing for hybrid operations.
Minister Budrys emphasized the special bond between Lithuania and Bavaria, noting that the 45th Bundeswehr Armored Brigade “Litauen” was formed on the basis of a Bavarian military unit. Highlighting the dedicated service of German soldiers and their contribution to Lithuania’s security and the NATO ally front, Budrys expressed his gratitude for the valuable shared views and ideas aimed at building a strong, secure, and resilient future.
