Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys visited the Bundeswehr University in Munich, where he met with the university leadership, students, and the academic community. Budrys held meaningful discussions on science diplomacy, the role of universities in total defence, building resilience, and preparing for hybrid operations.

Minister Budrys emphasized the special bond between Lithuania and Bavaria, noting that the 45th Bundeswehr Armored Brigade “Litauen” was formed on the basis of a Bavarian military unit. Highlighting the dedicated service of German soldiers and their contribution to Lithuania’s security and the NATO ally front, Budrys expressed his gratitude for the valuable shared views and ideas aimed at building a strong, secure, and resilient future.
